The FBI has reported the apprehension of three minors accused of orchestrating a bank robbery in Texas.
This development occurred shortly after the Houston branch of the FBI posted images on X depicting three young boys suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo bank in the Greenspoint suburb of the city. In the post, the bureau humorously referred to the suspects as “little rascals.”
“Recognize these ‘little rascals’? Believe it or not, they just robbed the Wells Fargo at 10261 North Freeway,” the post stated. “If you know who and where they are, contact the police immediately or @crimestophou at 713-222-TIPS.” The post included three security images captured from the bank, showing the underage suspects. One of them was seen up close, wearing a white hoodie, while the other two were captured in photos wearing black or dark blue hoodies. While the hoods of the latter two were up, one of the boys in a dark hoodie had his down, revealing a bright green lining inside the hood and black hair.
According to a report from ABC 13 Houston, witnesses informed authorities that the boys seemed to be between the ages of 14 and 18 and had fled the bank on foot. The amount of money the suspects were able to steal was not disclosed.
On Tuesday, the FBI once again utilized X to confirm the apprehension of the “little rascals.” They were identified as 11, 12, and 16 years old, younger than initially estimated by witnesses. However, due to the legal handling of crimes allegedly committed by minors, no further details about their identities were disclosed.
“All three bank robbery suspects known as the ‘little rascals’ are in custody,” the post from Tuesday confirmed. “They are 11, 12, and 16-year-old boys charged locally with robbery by threat. Because they are juveniles, their names, and no additional details will be released.”
