The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested five individuals linked to the kidnapping of the Village Head of Dagachi Hamlet, Yuda Garba, and five others from Ungwan Pawa Dnako Village along Igu Road.
On the morning of March 11, 2025, at around 6:30 AM, fifteen armed assailants stormed the village, abducting the victims.
According to intelligence sources, a joint team of police officers, hunters, and vigilantes was quickly deployed to the area, where they conducted a comprehensive search of the nearby forests.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the villagers had recently sold their farmlands, and there were reports of suspicious individuals, believed to be Fulani settlers, arriving in the region.
As a result of the ongoing operation, five suspects—Abdullahi Idris, Tambaya Idris, Haruna Tukur, Umar U. Haruna, and Nasiru Haruna—have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping.
Efforts are ongoing to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend the remaining suspects.
