In Ogun State, a tragic incident unfolded as Philip Fiama, a shuttle bus driver residing at Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwon, Ifo Local Government Area, lost his life in a fatal stabbing by his neighbor, Ikem Emmanuel. The dreadful event occurred around 6:30 pm on Sunday, January 7.
The confrontation arose when Fiama, originally from Adamawa State, confronted Emmanuel regarding allegations of an extramarital affair with his wife. The heated exchange escalated into a physical altercation, during which Emmanuel fatally stabbed Fiama in the chest. Despite efforts to seek medical assistance, Fiama succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
Ikem Emmanuel fled the scene, prompting the landlord to report the incident to the police. The spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the tragic killing. The case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for a thorough investigation. Law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing the fleeing suspect.
