Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt. Usman, a prominent member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was elected to the senate in 2023.
On Wednesday night, January 1, 2025, Usman confirmed the incident in a Facebook post, stating, “I just escaped an assassination attempt by some thugs in Kaduna North.” He did not provide further details.
