During an engagement session with customers in Enugu North Senatorial District, Mr. Praveen Chorghade, the Managing Director of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), expressed the company’s desire to provide every customer with a prepaid or postpaid meter to address complaints about estimated billing. He emphasized that having a meter for every customer would ensure accurate measurement of energy consumption and enable smoother interactions between the company and its customers. Chorghade highlighted that the cost of obtaining a meter is repaid to the customer through electricity recharge. He also stressed the importance of regular bill payment to sustain quality service and maintain a good relationship with customers. The session included discussions on addressing customer complaints and improving services. The EEDC management reiterated its commitment to customer satisfaction and encouraged customers to report any issues promptly. Additionally, the Head of Safety and Environment emphasized the need for communities to safeguard EEDC installations to prevent vandalism and subsequent disruptions in power supply. The safety manager provided safety tips to customers to avoid electrical hazards in their homes and environment. The engagement session concluded with a question and answer session, and the release of contact information for customer inquiries and complaints.
