The Ekiti State Police Command has escalated efforts to locate a missing 500-level female student of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Helen Eberechukwu Okorie.
In a statement issued on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Ado-Ekiti, the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Sunday Abutu, revealed that the 23-year-old student has been unaccounted for since September 13, 2023.
The statement read:
“We wish to inform the general public that Hellen Okorie, residing at No.15, Ayoba Quarters, Behind Sadiat Hotel, Irona Area, Ado Ekiti, left her residence on September 13th at around 08:00 hrs to an undisclosed destination and has not returned.
“She is 23 years old, has a chocolate complexion, fluently speaks English and Ibo languages, and does not have any tribal marks. She is a 500-level student at Ekiti State University.
“While the police command has initiated an investigation to determine her whereabouts, anyone with valuable information about her current location is kindly urged to contact the nearest police station or call 09064050086.”
The statement further urged members of the public to help disseminate this information widely.
