Two students were reportedly k!lled near Kurra Falls in the Gashish District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State.
The victims, identified as Obadiah Daryan, 25, a student at the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) Vom, and Ezekiel Monday, 21, of Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) Gashish, were ambushed and f@tally sh0t by gunmen while traveling by motorcycle to Barkin Ladi town.
According to reports, the attackers also stole Daryan’s phone during the incident.
In a separate attack Thursday night, Francis Samuel from the Fass settlement was reportedly stabbed in Kwi community and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer Alfred Alabo has not yet issued an official response to these incidents. The region has seen recurrent violence, including attacks, destruction of farmlands, and cattle rustling, amidst tensions between farmers and herders in various communities across Plateau State.
