A 5.7-magnitude earthquake rocked Hualien County in Taiwan at 6:50 p.m. on Monday, April 22, as reported by the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was pinpointed at 23.76 degrees north latitude and 121.51 degrees east longitude, with the quake occurring at a depth of 10 km, according to the CENC’s findings.
Prior to this event, at 6:46 p.m. on Monday (Beijing Time), a 5.3-magnitude earthquake shook the sea area near Hualien, also at a depth of 10 km. The epicenter was located at 23.74 degrees north latitude and 121.59 degrees east longitude, as per data from the CENC.
Earlier in the day, at 5:08 p.m. (Beijing Time), another 5.3-magnitude earthquake occurred in the sea area near Hualien.
