Unknown attackers have fatally assaulted Mrs. Iyanuoluwa Adamolekun, a 62-year-old retired teacher, in Arigidi Akoko, Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Reports indicate that the lifeless body of Mrs. Adamolekun was discovered in her residence, lying in a pool of blood on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Similoluwa quarters in Arigidi Akoko. Her granddaughter, upon returning from school on that fateful day, raised an alarm, drawing neighbors to the gruesome scene.
As of the time of this report, the circumstances surrounding the sudden demise remain shrouded in mystery. However, Justice Ayebogan, a resident of the area, refuted claims that the incident was linked to ritualistic activities.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the assailants made off with the victim’s phone and personal belongings. The deceased’s son, Mr. Rotimi Adamolekun, described his mother as an easy-going, religious, and caring individual, expressing disbelief at the heinous act.
The lifeless body has been deposited at the morgue, and the family has reported the case to the police for further investigation.
