Gunmen have killed a ticket collector around Okesa Roundabout in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, June 18, 2024, but the identity of the man is yet to be known.
The man, who was one of those issuing tickets to commercial motorcyclists, was shot dead by the unknown assailants, who ran away immediately after perpetrating the act.The Chairman of Okada Riders Association, Ekiti State, Kunle Asaolu, who confirmed the incident to Channels TV said the man was one of those working with the association.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident, adding that an investigation has commenced.
“The corpse has been deposited at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital morgue,” he said.
