Bola Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently made a series of promises to the people of Osun State. At a rally in Freedom Park, Osogbo, ahead of the February 25 presidential election, Tinubu pledged to put an end to unemployment in the country if he is elected as president. He also promised to make credit available to business owners and establish industries and employment centers throughout the country.
Tinubu emphasized that he was instrumental in bringing President Muhammadu Buhari to power and that he will succeed him. He stated that he has a long history of political struggle and that no one can intimidate him. The former governor of Lagos State also urged the electorate to vote for him, even if polling units were relocated, expressing confidence that he will win the election.
Tinubu promised that his administration would provide education and employment opportunities for all, including graduates and those with skilled trades. He emphasized that the children of the country should not have to suffer and roam the streets, but instead should receive quality education that would help them become successful in life.
Tinubu decried the alleged attacks on APC members in the state and blamed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for these actions. He expressed confidence that the APC would win the case in court and take over power from the PDP.
Turning to his plans for Osun State, Tinubu highlighted the state’s rich resources, fertile soil, abundant minerals, rich culture and history, and emphasized that the state should be a hub for business and tourism. He promised to support Osun in becoming a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, and tourism paradise.
