Hoodlums recently launched an attack on trailers transporting cartons of spaghetti at the Dogarawa area along the Zaria-Kano expressway.
The incident occurred while the trailer was en route from Kaduna to Abuja, as the perpetrators obstructed the road and set fires on the highway.
According to an eyewitness account shared with Daily Trust, the event unfolded around 3:15 pm on Friday, March 1, when the truck driver stopped by the roadside to observe prayer. Seizing the opportunity, the hoodlums swiftly began looting cartons of spaghetti from the trailer.
Expressing dismay over the incident, the eyewitness described it as unfortunate and unprecedented in the area’s history of business activities. He noted that every carton of spaghetti on the truck was taken by the hoodlums.
Following the event, a police team dispatched to the scene apprehended five suspects in connection with the looting.
This occurrence comes shortly after a similar incident in the Suleja area of Niger State, where hoodlums intercepted trailers carrying food supplies, including bags of rice, and absconded with the goods.
