Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has secured re-election for a second term as the Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
During the 10th Quadrennial State Delegates Conference held at the state union secretariat in Agege, Akinsanya, along with Alhaji Sulyman Ojora as Deputy Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle (Sego) as Treasurer, and 20 other executive members, were elected unopposed. The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by Adejare Kembi, Principal of Excel Practitioners, with notable figures such as the Acting National President of the union, Alhaji Aliyu Issa Ore, and former National Secretary Kabiru Ado Yau present.
Other dignitaries included Eshomounu Itemoagbo, Controller of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment in Lagos Office; Anthony Ogwu, Assistant Chief Labour Officer in the ministry; and Ismail Adejumo, Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Lagos State, among others.
Following his re-election, MC Oluomo pledged to secure additional support for union members. He also expressed his commitment to continuing the reform policies that have positively transformed union activities in the state.
