Napoli director, Mauro Meluso, expresses his elation following the confirmation of Victor Osimhen’s new contract with the club.
Club President Aurelio De Laurentiis officially announced the contract extension on Saturday afternoon, December 23, binding Osimhen to Napoli until June 2026. The Nigeria international will enjoy a significant salary increase under the terms of the new deal, accompanied by a substantial release clause, reportedly ranging from €120 to €140 million.
Without delving into specific details, Meluso shared, “I will not get into the details. We are just pleased that Osimhen signed the new contract. The club made a step towards the player, who was also eager to continue his rapport with Napoli. He never backed down or showed a lack of effort, just like his teammates, so he made his commitment clear with action.”
