The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that the agency generated N799 billion revenue between January and May 2021.
The Public Relations Officer of the agent, Mr Joseph Attah, disclosed this on Monday, May 31, while addressing newsmen in Abuja.
According to Attah, the revenue was higher compared with what was realised in the same period in 2020, adding that there is ‘a positive difference of N226.1 billion’
According to him, the increasing inclination of officers and men to put “national interest above selfish interests is responsible for the improvement of revenue.”
He said other reasons for the increase were giant “stakeholders sensitisation, increasing level of compliance from stakeholders and improved working relations with the National Assembly.”
