President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that they will soon reap the rewards of the challenging decisions he has made since assuming office. In a meeting with the South-South Monarchs Forum, led by His Royal Majesty, Major-General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, and Vice-Chairman of the South-South Monarchs Forum, Tinubu expressed gratitude to the monarchs for their positive reception of his administration’s ongoing economic reforms, notably the removal of the fuel subsidy.
Tinubu reiterated his commitment to addressing the concerns of the South-South region regarding development and environmental degradation. He emphasized the administration’s efforts to rejuvenate the economy after years of decline and sought the traditional institution’s support, prayers, and understanding.
Acknowledging the significance of intelligence in governance, Tinubu highlighted the role of the traditional institution as a source of valuable information for the holistic development of the country. He assured the monarchs that their concerns would be addressed systematically, encouraging them to communicate openly with his office whenever necessary.
