Omobayo Godwin has officially assumed office as the Deputy Governor of Edo State.
This follows the impeachment of Philip Shaibu by the State House of Assembly, paving the way for Governor Godwin Obaseki to nominate Omobayo Godwin, aged 37, as the new Deputy Governor.
Omobayo Godwin was sworn in at approximately 1:40 pm on Monday by Edo Chief Judge Justice Daniel Okungbowa. The ceremony took place at the Edo State Government House in Benin City.
