Chelsea, a Premier League club, has reportedly initiated contact with Napoli regarding a potential summer transfer for Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker.
The Nigerian forward, who played a key role in Napoli’s achievement of their first Serie A title in 33 years, has attracted interest from various European clubs. Victor Osimhen, 25, showcased his prowess by scoring 31 goals and providing five assists in 39 appearances across all competitions, with 26 of those goals coming in the league.
According to the UK publication GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea is actively engaged in talks to secure Osimhen’s services, aiming to bolster their attacking options. GIVEMESPORT reported that discussions have taken place, stating, “Chelsea ‘conversations have happened’ over tempting Napoli star Victor Osimhen to Stamford Bridge.” Transfer insider Dean Jones mentioned that manager Mauricio Pochettino has also made contact regarding another striker, as Chelsea looks to reinforce their squad before the approaching February 1 deadline.
