A police insider revealed on Tuesday, September 19, that the state police command is currently in the process of finalizing the necessary paperwork with the state Ministry of Health, an essential step in the investigation. The source also indicated that the exhumation of Mohbad’s body for the autopsy is expected to take place either on Wednesday, September 20, or at the latest, on Thursday, September 21.
Mohbad passed away under contentious circumstances on September 12 and was laid to rest on September 13. In light of shocking disclosures about his alleged mistreatment while alive, concerned Nigerians have called for a thorough autopsy to be conducted.
On Monday, September 19, the Lagos State Police Command established a 13-member committee tasked with conducting an exhaustive inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death. The committee is anticipated to present its findings within a two-week timeframe.
