Three police officers, namely Inspector Francis Ahuean, Semiu Agbaakin, and Osagie Efford, associated with the FID-STS unit, have been apprehended following accusations of armed robbery, abduction, and extortion by an Abuja resident named Omoh Osoke.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed in a statement on Sunday, March 10, that the trio is currently under investigation and facing trial for their alleged crimes. Additionally, accomplices including Elizabeth Amos Busayo, a POS operator, and Thomas Michael, an informant for the accused officers, have also been arrested and are undergoing investigation.
The police reassured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice in the matter, while urging all officers to uphold the law in their operations.
