Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) apprehended approximately 127 individuals on Monday, May 20, for failing to utilize pedestrian bridges across the state. Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, confirmed the operation’s success, stating that government officials conducted a sting operation resulting in the arrests. Among those arrested were 26 suspects causing disturbances at the Oshodi pedestrian bridge, along with two troublemakers, 31 street vendors, and 68 individuals who disregarded pedestrian bridge usage. Wahab emphasized the importance of adhering to pedestrian safety regulations, underscoring the government’s commitment to maintaining order and safety in the state.
