A housewife named Salamat Suleiman has taken the step of filing for divorce after being married for only two months. According to a report by NAN, she cited her husband’s health issue as the primary reason for her decision.
Salamat revealed to a court in Ilorin, Kwara State, that she observed her husband’s condition of having watery sperm, which raised concerns about their ability to conceive. Frustrated and exhausted with the situation, she requested the court to dissolve the marriage.
In response, the husband acknowledged his health issues but argued that the wife also faced health challenges. Despite their difficulties, he expressed his love for his wife and pleaded with the court for more time to resolve the misunderstandings between them.
Presiding Judge AbdulQadir Umar advised Salamat to approach the situation with an open mind and explore medical assistance for their respective health challenges. The judge also encouraged her to consider giving the relationship a second chance, reminding her that all marriages come with their own set of challenges.
The court adjourned the case to August 28, allowing time for a possible settlement or further proceedings.
