Singer Madonna is facing a class-action lawsuit from two men, Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, who allege that she and concert organizer Live Nation are liable for significant damages due to the delayed start of her concerts. The shows, originally scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM ET, reportedly commenced at 10:30 PM, prompting the legal action.
Fellows and Hadden assert that these late starts amount to “wanton exercise in false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices.” The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages, focusing on all three nights Madonna performed belatedly at Barclays Center in December. The plaintiffs note Madonna’s well-documented history of tardiness and acknowledge her health issues that led to rescheduling the concert from July to December. However, they argue that this doesn’t suffice as a justification for starting the actual performances two hours behind schedule. Additionally, they highlight their ticket costs, ranging from $155.90 to $292.50.
