Delta State Governor, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, has dismissed Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza from his position as Commissioner for Information. The reasons for his removal have not been officially disclosed.
Dr. Fred Latimor Oghenesivbe, Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communication, confirmed that Osuoza has already been notified of the decision. Governor Oborevwori has appointed Charles Aniagwu, Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), to temporarily oversee the Ministry of Information.
An official announcement from the Governor is anticipated, but Oghenesivbe stated that Aniagwu would manage both ministries for the time being, with his dual role set to begin on Monday.
Sources suggest that Osuoza’s dismissal may be linked to ongoing complaints about his alleged incompetence. Aniagwu, a seasoned media professional, previously served as Chief Press Secretary and Commissioner for Information during the administration of former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
