Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists have launched an attack on Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, burning down both a primary and a secondary school.
The incident comes shortly after pupils of Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in Askira-Uba were reportedly abducted and remain unaccounted for nearly a month later.
Security sources said the attackers invaded the community around 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, a town that has experienced repeated assaults in recent times.
According to one source, no casualties have been recorded so far, but residents were forced to flee into nearby bushes to escape the attack.
A local resident also noted that although the village had been attacked in the past, previous incursions did not involve the destruction of buildings.
He expressed shock over the latest incident, saying the burning of the primary and day secondary schools was unusual compared to earlier attacks in the area.
