According to the board, the suspects—comprising six men and 10 women—were apprehended in operations carried out at locations including El-Kanemy Suite, BUK Road, Danbare, and Layin Shisha.

Deputy Commander-General Mujahiddeen Aminuddeen stated that the individuals are first-time offenders and are currently undergoing counselling. He added that the board would summon their relatives, provide guidance, and require written undertakings from the suspects to refrain from similar conduct in the future.

The Hisbah Board further explained that it would continue monitoring those released, stressing its commitment to enforcing Sharia-related regulations and curbing activities it considers contrary to the state’s moral standards.
