The Onigbesi of Igbesi Land, Oba Moses Oyinloye Iwedunmoye I, has reportedly died days after regaining his freedom from kidnappers in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The monarch was abducted on August 22 when armed men reportedly invaded Igbesi community and took him away.
He was released five days later during a security operation around the Elerin/Ijomu-Oro axis of the state.
However, the monarch reportedly passed away days after his release.
According to family sources, Oba Iwedunmoye died in the early hours of Saturday, September 12, following a brief illness. He was reportedly rushed to a hospital after falling ill but died shortly afterwards.
His death comes shortly after his release from captivity.
