Herbert Wigwe, the Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, and his wife, Chizoba, tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash in California on Friday night, February 9. Reports indicate that the helicopter was en route to Las Vegas when it crashed near Boulder City, situated between Nevada and California.
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department stated that the helicopter departed from Palm Springs Airport around 8:45 pm and crashed at approximately 10:00 pm while heading to Las Vegas.
The bank executive, his wife, and their son were reportedly aboard the ill-fated helicopter. Additionally, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the Group Chairman of the Nigerian Export Group, was also said to have been on board the chopper.
Herbert Wigwe was 57 years old. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
