Former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has accused President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of actively orchestrating efforts to destabilise opposition parties in Nigeria.

Tambuwal made the allegations during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, September 5, asserting that the ruling party and the president are behind the ongoing internal conflicts within opposition parties.

“When you look at what is happening in various political parties in Nigeria today, you don’t need to be told—no matter the denials by anyone, including President Bola Tinubu—that they are involved in efforts to destabilise opposition parties,” Tambuwal stated.

He further emphasized that his accusation was not based on mere suspicion:

“I am not accusing them; I am stating that they are involved in these destabilisation efforts.”

When asked to provide evidence to support his claims, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives remained firm, saying,

“I am not suspecting; I am saying they are involved in all of this.”
