Ekiti Police Arrest Four in Connection with Missing Baby at Hospital

Police in Ekiti State have arrested four individuals in connection with the disappearance of a newborn baby from the Okeyinmi Health Centre in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

Confirming the incident, the command’s spokesperson, Abutu Sunday, said an investigation is underway to locate the baby and uncover the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction.

“The Commissioner of Police has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to carry out a comprehensive investigation and ensure the safe recovery of the missing newborn. So far, four suspects have been arrested and are providing credible information to aid the investigation,” Abutu stated.

An eyewitness said the baby was discovered missing on Monday morning when nurses came in to tend to her, sparking panic among the mother and other patients in the ward.
