Bello Hamisu Safana lost his life in a tragic accident on the Katsina-Kano road. Captain Safana, your life was marked by selflessness and dedication, and you will always be remembered. You were an inspiration and a role model to many, and your absence will be deeply felt. Your hard work and unwavering commitment to honesty, courage, and strength will always be admired. You were a significant part of our Association (Katsina State Mariners Association), and we are grateful for the time we had together and the wisdom you shared with us. I pray for your departed soul to rest in peace. Your life was a blessing, and your memories will forever reside in our hearts. I miss all the moments we shared as undergraduates and deck cadets on board MV AIDA and MV Amana. Captain, the path you have blazed is one worth emulating, and you will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, Captain. To the family you left behind, I beseech almighty Allah in His infinite mercy to grant them and their loved ones the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss. Amen.”
