Michael Schumacher is set to become a grandfather.
His daughter Gina announced she is pregnant just a few months after her wedding.
The Formula One legend was said to have made his first ‘public appearance’ in 11 years when Gina married Iain Bethke in September.
On Monday, December 23, Gina announced that she is expecting her first child with Bethke.
In a heartwarming Instagram post, the accomplished equestrian champion wrote: ‘Impatiently awaiting the arrival of our little girl.’
Considered one of the greatest motorsport drivers of all-time, Schumacher won seven F1 drivers’ championships, a record he shares with Sir Lewis Hamilton.
Having begun his career in 1991, he retired in 2006 only to return to the sport in 2010 for a three season-spell with Mercedes before hanging up his helmet for good.The German married his wife Corinna in 1995 and the couple have two children: Gina and son Mick, who followed his father into F1, racing for Haas from 2021 to 2022.
