Terrorists k!lled at least six persons and abducted 26 others in Sabon Gida Libere, Ungwan Ganye, Ungwan Nabara, and Kadi communities in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The bandits stormed the villages in separate attacks and unleashed terror on the residents on Monday, August 5, 2024.A local, Aminu Khalid, told Punch in a telephone interview on Wednesday that the terrorists invaded Sabon Gida Libere on Monday, killing one person and abducting 23 people, while three people were k!lled at Ungwan Nabara.
Khalid said the communities were yet to establish contact with the terrorists, stressing many villages are deserted because of constant attacks
The terrorists have their camp close to the Libere community called the ‘ Agwala forest’ on top of a hill.
“Most communities are deserted and those in the surrounding villages could not access their farmlands. Government and the military must clear the bush where these terrorists are taking their refuge to restore the confidence of the surrounding communities,” he said.
