The presidency has confirmed that President Bola Tinubu and his team will be returning to Nigeria from Europe on Wednesday, May 8. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, made this announcement via his official handle on Tuesday, May 7.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accompanied by his aides, is set to return to Nigeria tomorrow from Europe,” Onanuga stated.
President Tinubu embarked on his journey from Nigeria on April 22, initially visiting the Kingdom of The Netherlands on an official visit. Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson, mentioned that the president’s visit to The Netherlands was at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
Following his engagements in The Netherlands, Tinubu proceeded to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting from April 28 to 29. Although he was expected back in the country after the forum in Saudi Arabia, his delayed return sparked speculations about his whereabouts.
Some reports indicated that the president traveled to London from Saudi Arabia for a private visit before proceeding to France.
