The Presidency has assured that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains fully committed to the governance of Nigeria, despite his current stay in Europe.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, confirmed that the President’s absence is temporary and consistent with the previously communicated two-week timeframe. He added that President Tinubu will return after the Easter holiday.
In a statement, Onanuga noted:
“The President traveled from Paris to London over the weekend and continues to engage regularly with key government officials, overseeing important national issues. This includes providing directives to security leaders on emerging threats across the country.”
Onanuga emphasized that Tinubu will resume his duties in Abuja following the conclusion of the Easter holiday, reaffirming the President’s dedication to his responsibilities and the effective functioning of his administration.
“We understand the public’s concern and want to reassure Nigerians that governance is proceeding smoothly without interruption,” he concluded.
