The primary YouTube channel associated with Prophet TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations has been removed by the video-sharing platform. The action follows a report by OpenDemocracy, which identified over 50 abusive videos on the platform that amplified mistreatment against individuals who had accused Joshua.
Notably, the BBC World Service, in collaboration with OpenDemocracy, released a three-part documentary earlier this month. Whistleblowers, former senior members of SCOAN, made on-the-record allegations of sexual and psychological abuse, financial fraud, and criminal negligence by Joshua. The videos, originally filmed by the church’s Emmanuel TV media department, featured women who participated in the investigative documentary. Citing violations of hate speech policies, YouTube, which prohibits cyberbullying, harassment, and specifically forbids mistreatment against survivors of sexual violence, stated, “The flagged channel was terminated for violating our hate speech policies.”
