A tragic incident unfolded on the evening of December 9, as Maikeffi Redemption Sarah, a 100-level female student at Nasarawa State University (NSUK), Keffi, reportedly took her own life at an off-campus lodge near Family and Friends Hotel area, opposite Nasarawa State University.
According to Vanguard, the 21-year-old student consumed a poisonous substance, succumbing to the effects of deep emotions and depression. Her male friend, who shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, confirmed the unfortunate incident.
Despite efforts by some students and neighbors to intervene and save her using palm oil, their attempts proved futile. The lifeless body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary in Keffi.
Maikeffi Redemption Sarah was laid to rest on the same day, December 9, marking a somber conclusion to this distressing event.
