President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has secured the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general election.
Tinubu emerged victorious in the party’s presidential primaries conducted nationwide on Saturday, May 23. The exercise took place across the country’s 8,809 wards and 774 local government areas.
The President faced only one challenger in the contest — APC chieftain and businessman Stanley Osifo from Edo State.
Following his victory, Tinubu was officially presented with the party’s Certificate of Return and the APC flag, confirming him as the party’s presidential flagbearer for the 2027 election.
