Armed bandits have abducted a woman and her toddler during an attack on the Ijalu area of Egbe in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2026, along the Solid Rock School axis of the community when the gunmen reportedly stormed the area and whisked away their victims.
The abducted woman has been identified as Mrs. Idowu Kemi Titilayo, while her young child was also taken by the assailants.
Sources within the community confirmed the attack, although the exact number of people kidnapped during the invasion had not been ascertained as of the time of this report.
Residents have appealed to security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue the victims and ensure their safe return, while also strengthening security in the area to prevent further attacks.
