The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested five suspects over separate cases of alleged sexual offences involving minors aged between four and 17 across the state.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, November 6, 2026.

According to the statement, the suspects, aged between 18 and 44, were arrested in connection with reported sexual assaults involving four girls and a 13-year-old boy.

Habib said the incidents had left affected families and communities traumatised, assuring that the command was committed to ensuring that those responsible were brought to justice.

“Behind every report received at our divisions is a child, a family and a community left shaken. A little girl who should be in school. A young boy who should feel safe at home. A teenage girl who went out to tend her family’s cattle and returned with trauma no child should carry,” the statement read.

He added that the arrests followed prompt reports from concerned parents and community members.

Providing details of some of the cases, the police spokesperson said:
