A young man named Mohammed Tanko has been captured for allegedly stealing a ram in Kurikyo, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Reportedly, the suspect, residing in Anguwan Gayam, slaughtered the stolen ram before being apprehended by some locals on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
An eyewitness mentioned that after being “thoroughly beaten,” the suspect was handed over to security authorities for necessary actions.
Admitting to the crime on Sunday, the suspect attributed his actions to personal needs amid economic hardship and pleaded for leniency.
