A young man named Mohammed Tanko has been arrested for allegedly stealing a ram in Kurikyo, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The suspect, who resides in Anguwan Gayam, reportedly slaughtered the stolen ram before being caught by some residents of the community on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
An eyewitness revealed that the suspect was subjected to a severe beating before being handed over to the authorities for appropriate action.
Having confessed to the crime on Sunday, the suspect attributed his actions to economic hardship and pleaded for mercy.
