Suspected bandits have allegedly taken the life of a man and abducted his wife in Kaduna State. According to a Facebook post by a family member, Ruth Onetemize Suowari, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, the abductors are demanding an N80 million ransom for the release of the deceased man’s wife.
In her post, Suowari revealed, “There has been a series of terrorist attacks in Kaduna and its surroundings for days now. My cousin is a victim… She was kidnapped, her husband has been killed, and her son was shot but managed to escape. The abductors are now demanding a ransom of 80 million naira to free her.
“Another family was also kidnapped – a man, his wife, and their son. The abductors released the wife yesterday, instructing her to gather 200 million naira before they will release her husband and son.
“There was yet another terrorist attack today along Garam Kaduna Road, resulting in casualties. The bodies have been taken to Sabon Wuse Hospital. Please check on your loved ones living around Garam leading to Kaduna.
“Please join me in praying for the safe release of my cousin and everyone currently held hostage. May God intervene miraculously.”
