Hollywood star Brad Pitt is mourning the loss of his mother, Jane Etta Pitt, who passed away at the age of 84.
According to the Daily Mail, Jane—a retired school counselor—was lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Sydney in a heartfelt tribute. Sydney described her grandmother as a woman with “the biggest heart” who taught the family to appreciate life’s simple joys and to lead with kindness.
“She was love in its purest form,” Sydney wrote, adding that Jane kept up effortlessly with all 14 of her grandchildren.
Jane is survived by her husband, William Alvin Pitt, their three children, and her grandchildren, including Brad’s six children from his marriage to Angelina Jolie.
Reports indicate that Brad Pitt has been estranged from his children in recent years following his separation from Jolie.
