Emotions ran high at a tribute night held in honour of late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, October 27, as his young widow, Elizabeth, broke down in tears while paying tribute to her husband.
In a video from the event, a tearful Elizabeth struggled to contain her emotions as she spoke about how much she missed her late husband. She also made an emotional plea to him not to forget her and their two daughters.
“Toluwanisings, my dear husband, I will forever miss you. Please do not forget your children and I,” she said.
The tribute night attracted several gospel artistes who gathered to honour the late singer and celebrate his life and legacy.
Among those in attendance were Adeyinka Alaseyori, Esther Igbekele, Laolu Gbenjo, Akintayo Akinwande, SB Live, Bidemi Olaoba, Mr Gbera, Peterson Okopi and Sarah Apekeola.
Toluwanisings reportedly slumped and later died on October 14, leaving behind his wife and their two daughters.
