Manchester United are reportedly considering at least four candidates to replace manager Michael Carrick as the club’s hierarchy prepares to discuss his future.

Senior club officials are expected to hold crisis talks on Monday following the Red Devils’ disappointing 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.

According to the Daily Telegraph in the UK, Carrick is at risk of being dismissed, with United reportedly sitting just one point above the relegation zone.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe and Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann are among the leading contenders being considered for the position.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery and Brighton boss Fabian Hürzeler are also understood to have supporters within the club as potential replacements.

However, Manchester United have yet to make a final decision on Carrick’s future.
