The Nigeria Police Force has announced the promotion and deployment of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Olumuyiwa Adejobi to the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations at the Delta State Command.

Adejobi, who recently served as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), received his new rank following approval from the Police Service Commission.

According to Force Headquarters, this posting is part of the routine deployment of senior officers and assigns Adejobi to one of the country’s most operationally critical state commands.

Police officials highlighted Adejobi’s extensive experience in public communication, operational management, and community policing as key factors in preparing him for this significant responsibility.

In his new capacity, DCP Adejobi will oversee security operations, coordinate responses to violent crimes, and work to strengthen police-community relations throughout Delta State.
