The England captain, Harry Kane, holds the belief that his newly joined club, Bayern Munich, has the potential to propel him towards winning the Ballon d’Or.

Having transitioned from his previous role as Tottenham’s center-forward, Kane is poised to mark his entry into the Bundesliga with the renowned German powerhouse, Bayern Munich, following his £95 million transfer completed last week. Bayern is set to face off against Werder Bremen in their inaugural league match of the season on Friday, August 18.

In a conversation with reporters, Kane shared, “If you are securing victories in your league and in the Champions League, and considering we, as the England team, are heading into the European Championship next summer… as exemplified by the history of the Ballon d’Or, winning team trophies is a prerequisite for that achievement.”

He continued, “If I’m netting goals and we are clinching trophies, then the question of the Ballon d’Or might arise. However, my current focus lies elsewhere.”

Kane emphasized, “I’ve consistently maintained that I want to retire without any regrets about untapped potential. This factor significantly influenced my decision to join Bayern. It’s crucial to ensure that you have pushed your capabilities to their utmost limits.”
