Ossai Success Ovie, an aide to the Governor of Delta State, has stirred controversy on social media after expressing disappointment in Nigerian singer Davido for holding his white wedding in Miami, Florida.
Ossai described the ceremony as an unnecessary display of extravagance, stating that it is a “waste of money.”
“Davido and Chioma’s white wedding this weekend in Miami is a waste of money, and I’m honestly disappointed,” he said.
He went on to question the need for such a lavish event abroad, especially following the couple’s traditional wedding held over a year ago.
“Having too much money doesn’t mean it should be spent carelessly. You won’t see people like Dangote, Elon Musk, or Mark Zuckerberg spending money in this manner.”
“What’s the essence of a white wedding in Florida after such a grand traditional marriage in Nigeria? I’m truly disappointed,” he concluded.
