Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), firmly dismissing speculations about a possible defection.

Speaking on Saturday, June 28, during an interactive session with members of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) in Enugu, Governor Mbah emphasized his continued allegiance to the PDP.

“I am still in the PDP. As you can see, the flag behind me is that of the PDP,” he said, reaffirming his position. While acknowledging that the party is currently experiencing internal challenges, Mbah pointed out that such issues are not unique to the PDP, as other political parties across the country are also grappling with internal disputes.

Despite the ongoing turbulence, the governor expressed confidence in the PDP’s resilience and its capacity to resolve internal crises. He stressed that his administration remains focused on governance, prioritizing service delivery over political distractions.

“The people of Enugu State understand that we are here to serve them,” he said. “Our focus has been on governance, and ultimately, it will be up to the people to decide whether to renew our mandate or choose a different path.”
